The Denver Broncos ended up dropping two games during their long three-game road trip and must now likely win their final three games to have a chance to make the NFL playoffs this year. That must start this weekend at home against the lowly New England Patriots. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Broncos are huge 7.5-point favorites at home against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

Collectively, we do not believe the Broncos falter against the Patriots and are predicting a final score of 20-12 in favor of the home team. Every single one of us predicted a win today, but here is how we see the score outcome differently:

Broncos 16, Patriots 13

No cover here for Denver as they continue to struggle to produce on offense against a pretty tough Patriots defense. The good news is that the Patriots offense is one of the worst we’ve ever seen and likely going to get Bill Belichick fired at the end of this season. Denver wins the first of three games it must have in order to make the AFC playoffs. - Tim Lynch

Broncos 24, Patriots 13

Broncos will win the turnovers battle. I hope Patrick Surtain II has his first pick six of the season. - BroncosSpain

Broncos 13, Patriots 9

This should be a win for Denver. The Patriots are so bad this year that it can’t possibly end up as the nightmare before Christmas. Still, they have a solid defense and it wouldn’t be a shock to see them keep it close. In the end, Russ and the offense will get the better of Bill Belichick and his defense to pull out a win and give Broncos Country an early Christmas gift by keeping the playoffs in their sights. - Adam Malnati

Broncos 20, Patriots 10

Part of me is worried about this week because this has “trap game” written all over it. But the other, more optimistic, part of me thinks that the Broncos are going to put everything together in a must-win game at home and blow out the Patriots. So, I’m just taking the average of both of those thoughts when it comes to my prediction. If they can run the ball and win the turnover battle, then everything will work out just fine. Probably. - Ross Allen

Broncos 16, Patriots 9

This is going to be a low scoring defensive game that will come down to which defense can make the most plays. The Patriots run defense has been elite so the Broncos will struggle there but I think their defense will come up with some key turnovers and a late game Courtland Sutton TD will lock up the game for the Broncos. Basically, the same blueprint they have used in their previous games. This is a 3-win Patriots teams so the Broncos SHOULD be able to come away with a dominant victory but I think it will be a close one on Christmas Eve Night. - Scotty Payne

Broncos 21, Patriots 16

The defense will bounce back, as New England doesn’t have near the offensive power that Detroit does, but the Patriots are playing with nothing to lose. They’ve been much better the past few weeks, and the Broncos offense, even at its most efficient, isn’t equipped to fill up the scoreboard. The home field advantage plus a renewed sense of determination by the defense gives the Broncos the win. - Nick Burch

Broncos 31, Patriots 13

The Broncos were embarrassed on national TV against the Lions. Since the game is in Denver and the playoff lives are on the line, Sean Payton and Co. don’t mess around with a bad football team. This game will look like the wins over the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers. - Ian St. Clair
