Broncos vs. Chargers score predictions for Week 14

Here are Mile High Report’s score predictions for the Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers game in Week 14. Can Denver rebound this week?

NFL: Denver Broncos at Houston Texans Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Can the Denver Broncos rebound after suffering their first loss in over six weeks? The Los Angeles Chargers look like a good football team on paper, but play like a bad football team in actuality. Which means they could be either team on Sunday and that makes them dangerous to sleep on. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Broncos are mere 2.5-point underdogs on the road to LA.

Collectively, we’re still feeling a bit confident here on Mile High Report with a final score prediction of Broncos 24, Chargers 19. Not all of us predicted a win in this game though, so here is how we predicted things individually:

Broncos 28, Chargers 20

Just when you think the Broncos offense has a fork stuck in them, they drop a four touchdown game and smoke their AFC West rival Chargers to get right back into the AFC playoff picture heading into the final four games of the season. The pick-against-them streak is flipped! - Tim Lynch

Broncos 20, Chargers 13

Broncos NEED to win this game and are facing a Chargers team they historically do well against. I see the Broncos defense forcing multiple turnovers and the Broncos offense doing just enough to pull out a win. - Scotty Payne

Broncos 28, Chargers 10

This game won’t be close. Russ will cook. - John Holmes

Broncos 23, Chargers 20

This game will probably end up being closer than it should be, but Denver should still be able to pull off a must-need win against a lowly L.A. team. Hopefully the offense is able to turn their moments into a full performance against a defense that is near the bottom of the league in most statistical categories. - Ross Allen

Chargers 24, Broncos 20

Yep, I’m back to being a pessimist. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be wrong on this, but the Chargers, despite their issues, can move the ball on offense. I’m going to need to see more from Russell Wilson in order to start thinking positive again. Can he move the chains and make plays before the end of the game? I, as of now, have doubts. - Nick Burch

Broncos 27, Chargers 24

Denver does just enough to keep Justin Mahomes and Keenan Allen at bay. Russell Wilson rebounds after a disastrous performance against the Texans. The playoff hopes live on! - Chris Hart

Broncos 24, Chargers 21

If ever there was a game for Russell Wilson and the Broncos offense to move the ball through the air, this is it. The Chargers pass defense is terrible, so if Denver struggles that says a lot. The Broncos defense holds up Justin Herbert and the LA offense just enough to get back in the win column. - Ian St. Clair

Broncos 23, Chargers 17

The Broncos have to win this game. There’s no doubt Sean Payton knows this. His team knows this. The whole league knows that if the Broncos want to make the playoffs they have a very small margin for error. Plenty of fans have spent the last week writing off Russell Wilson, but he and Payton should be on the same page for this game. Chargers are going to Charger. Denver should get the win. - Adam Malnati
