chiefs hire Brian Daboll as thier new offensive coordinator

6

Daboll was previously the OC in Celveland from 2009-2010 and then was the OC in Miami last season Here's his track record as an OC: 2009: 32nd ranked offense 2010: 29th ranked offense 2011: 22nd ranked offesne With a defensive minded head coach in Crennel, Daboll will be the guy calling the shots on offense for the chiefs. That bodes well for us. Apparently the guy struggles to change his game plan during the game after a defense has adapted to his original plan. And there are weird/funny stories about him hazing Colt McCoy in his rookie year, well funny for us because we're not chief fans (thank god). Chief fans aren't as happy about the hire as I am as you can see in the comment section. Good news for us.

A Bronco Worth Cheering For

Everybody sees Tim Tebow as the ultimate role model but just down the line of scrimmage is another Bronco who has overcome great adversity and gives Tebow a run for his money in the "all around good guy" competition

"The first Jaguars game I came to was in (2010), we played Denver here," Khan told WOKV. "There were a lot more Tebow jerseys in the Jaguars stands than the teal jerseys for any player, let's face it. You hate to get into 20/20 hindsight and finger pointing, but certainly (we would have taken Tebow) if I had anything to do with it. We probably won't have a chance like that again."

What's NOT to Love About This Kid?!!!

This is Charlie Campbell's 4 round mock draft over at WalterFootball.com. He has us taking Michael Brockers (DT, LSU) with the 25th pick, but if you go down a few picks to the Raven's slot, you'll see who I'm talking about here. That's right... Vontaze Burfict... the infamous MLB from Arizona St. who's been discussed constantly on this site. I like this quote from Charlie the best: "NFL sources who know Burfict well from coaching him have told us that he is not a bad kid, just ultracompetitive, and as a result can be overly aggressive during games. Burfict should be told to go all out, and the team that drafts him should just accept having some penalties in exchange for an intimidating playmaker in the middle of its defense."

Shad Khan Would Have Drafted Tim Tebow

The host of the show then asked Khan if he would have drafted Tim Tebow. "100 percent I would have. Absolutely," Khan said. "The first Jaguars game I came to was in '10, we played Denver here. There were a lot more Tebow jerseys in the Jaguars stands than the teal jerseys for any player, let's face it. You hate to get into 20/20 hindsight and finger pointing, but certainly if I had anything to do with it. We probably won't have a chance like that again."

Following is a link to a comment by Brian Billik about how Tim Tebows number uno priority should be to slim down. Is there a method to Billick's madness? Should Tim Tebow lose some of that bulk during the off season? Will it help him become a better NFL quarterback? Coach Billick mentions that there are three types of athletes that can not afford to bulk up. Tennis players, golfers and QB's. I would make it four and throw pitchers into that category as well. If you take a look at successful athletes from those four positions none of them are very muscular, so does coach Billick have a point? Will John Elway and Coach Fox encourage Tim to spend more time in the class room and on the field then in the weight room over the next seven months? And how will coach Richesson prepare Tim for the season? Also the reference that MJD makes of Christian Bale slimming down for "The Fighter" was not the best one. How about Bale slimming way, way, down for his role in "The Machinist"? Holy Hip Bones Batman! Again. I wish there was a "preview post" option. I added a link and have no idea what is going to happen. here's the link, http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/brian-billick-recommends-tim-tebow-shed-muscle-172821454.html
