ESPN (or the AP, or whoever titled this article) say "Quinn makes it clear he wants to start." They are out and out TRYING to make a QB controversy flare up. NEWS FLASH: OF COURSE he wants to start! He's a professional athlete! Every one wants to start. Even BQ goes on to say, in effect, "We all want to start." Would it be better for him to say, "I am so happy to be a backup. I hope I never get on the field!" Sorry, I just get irked when they try to create a QB controversy. I think everyone can agree that KO is the starter now and, barring an injury or major regression, KO will remain the starter for 2010. But I fear we have a whole season of MSM "QB controversy" stories ahead of us....
Add JD Walton to the list of Center prospects the Broncos are working out, after Matt Tennant. Will Pouncey be next?
I find this interesting that Williamson would post this. The title left me wondering something. At first, I thought "Why don't they just check Dunkin Donuts in Oakland. They should find him there." Then, I remembered who the writer was. Williamson was probably there at the Dunkin Donuts waiting for their scheduled breakfast feast. On a serious note, the raiders are a mess with this guy receiving checks from them.....
A three-year starter at Boston College, Tennant started 41 consecutive games at center for the Eagles. A Rimington Trophy finalist this past season, Tennant had a strong performance at the Senior Bowl and showcased his athleticism and strength at the Scouting Combine by running a 5.16 in the 40 and benching 225 pounds 27 times. At 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, Tennant figures to be in the late second, early third round mix in this year’s draft.
Of all the QBs now on Denver's roster, the one that might have the best chance of being a long-term answer is QB Tom Brandstater.
